Royce Deans and Tali Farchi have been working together on the international scene since 2007. Much of their recent work has been created in four to six week residencies they call The Colorboration Project. The public is invited to be present in their studio as they collaborate with musicians by using the live music as the subject of their paintings. The paintings on display were created during Artprize 2012.
Royce Deans lives in Traverse City, where he paints plein air landscapes and works in his studio when he is not involved in remote project locations with Tali. He is a graduate of the American Academy of Art in Chicago where he grew up.
Tali Farchi, originally from Haifa, Israel, currently calls Zwoelle, The Netherlands home. Where she exhibits her work and works daily in her studio in the old city center. Tali was trained as an animator in Amsterdam at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and thus is very interested in capturing the movement of her subject.
